Police panel decides against anti-graffiti plan
From Times staff reports
The Police Commission recommended Tuesday that the city not adopt a new graffiti hotline and rewards program after Police Chief William J. Bratton said the annual $757,986 personnel cost and demand for investigative time is “not advisable.”
Instead, the commission agreed with the chief that the city should better publicize an existing graffiti rewards program.
The proposal next goes to the City Council.
