Man pleads guilty in helicopter scam

A man pleaded guilty to stealing about $40,000 by telling people over the phone that a member of their family was critically ill and asking them to wire him money to transport their loved one by helicopter. Billy John Edwards, 44, was accused of operating the scam, in which he and alleged accomplices stole from 28 people across the country.
