Kerry still may try for White House

Massachusetts Sen. John F. Kerry said his “botched joke” about President Bush’s Iraq policy would not undermine a possible White House campaign in 2008. “Not in the least,” said Kerry, the Democratic nominee in 2004, when asked on “Fox News Sunday” whether the furor had caused him to reconsider. He said he would decide next year. Kerry had told a college audience that young people might get “stuck in Iraq” if they did not study hard.
