From Times Wire Reports

A dozen people hospitalized from injuries they got when a Danvers manufacturing plant exploded were released on Thanksgiving, but investigators kept residents away from the neighborhood riddled with homes and businesses blasted off their foundations.

Officials said it could take weeks to determine the cause of the explosions at a building housing an ink-making firm and a paint manufacturer. The building, which was empty at the time, was leveled.

The blast damaged dozens of homes -- about 25 beyond repair. Residents continued to marvel that no one was seriously hurt.
