Ex-Superintendent Put Under Arrest in Hospital
From Times Wire Reports
A former superintendent who admitted stealing at least $2 million from a Long Island school district was handcuffed in his hospital bed and placed under arrest after missing his sentencing hearing for the second time in three weeks.
Frank Tassone, 59, will be turned over to authorities when doctors deem him well enough to leave Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, said Eric Phillips, a spokesman for Nassau County Dist. Atty. Kathleen Rice.
