Robber Convicted in Holdup Victim’s Killing

A man was convicted of murder in New York in the slaying of an aspiring actress who was shot after she shoved him and talked back during a holdup.
Rudy Fleming, 21, faces life in prison without the possibility of parole in the killing last year of Nicole duFresne.
Witnesses said DuFresne pushed Fleming and said to him, “What are you going to do, shoot us?” after Fleming and some companions robbed her and her three friends on the street around 3 a.m. Fleming then shot DuFresne in the chest.
