Corruption Found in State-Run Services

Theft and negligence are rife in Cuba’s state-run services, with employees often making money on the side by changing prices or portions in places such as cafeterias, appliance repair shops and beauty salons, an official newspaper reported.
The Juventud Rebelde paper, a Communist Party organ, said the majority of places it visited during a rare investigation were “going through a bad moment.”
