From Times Wire Reports

Tropical Storm Florence gained strength in the Atlantic and could become a hurricane soon, but forecasters in Miami said it was too soon to tell whether it would reach the United States.

“The concern would be Bermuda at this point -- how close the destructive force winds will move toward it,” hurricane forecaster Dave Roberts said.

“Although Florence continues to get better organized, it remains an unusually large Atlantic tropical storm, and large cyclones tend to take longer to develop and intensify than smaller ones do,” hurricane specialist Stacy Stewart said.
