Campbell Soup’s Earnings Decline 54%

Campbell Soup Co. reported that its profit fell 54% in its fourth quarter, largely because of expenses related to the sale of its British business.
The world’s biggest soup maker said it earned $44 million, or 11 cents a share, down from $96 million, or 23 cents, a year earlier. Sales increased 3.6% to $1.45 billion.
Its shares rose 27 cents to close at $37.45.
