Man, 37, Held in Teen’s 10-Day Bunker Kidnap

Authorities caught the man they suspect kidnapped a 14-year-old girl who was able to use her captor’s cellphone to send a text message to her mother, leading to her rescue from a booby-trapped bunker where she had been held for as long as 10 days. Police said Vinson Filyaw, 37, was arrested after an attempted carjacking about 24 hours after Elizabeth Shoaf was freed from a 15-foot-deep hole.
