Starbucks to Increase Prices of Drinks, Beans

Starbucks Corp. said it would raise most beverage prices at its U.S. and Canadian coffee shops by 5 cents next month to help offset increased costs for fuel and labor. The increase, effective Oct. 3, is the first in two.
The Seattle-based company is also raising prices on most of its whole bean coffees by 50 cents a pound, or about 3.9%. It is the first price increase on whole bean coffee in nine years.
