Karrie Webb took full control in the Longs Drugs Challenge on Saturday, taming the hilly Blackhawk Country Club course with a bogey-free six-under-par 66 that pushed her lead to five strokes with a round to play.

Webb birdied the final three holes on the Lakeside course at Danville, Calif., to finish at 13-under 203.

“I just felt very at ease with my golf swing,” said Webb, tied for the tour victory lead this season with three.

Webb began the day tied for the lead with Jeong Jang at seven under. But Jang shot a 74 to drop eight strokes back.

Morgan Pressel took a double bogey on No. 18, yet still posted a solid 69, leaving the 18-year-old tied for second with Maria Hjorth (70) at eight under. Annika Sorenstam is at seven under after a 69.

Eric Axley shot his second consecutive seven-under 63 in the Texas Open, birdieing the final three holes to take a four-shot lead into the final round at San Antonio. Only Corey Pavin’s 64-61 in Milwaukee are lower consecutive rounds on the PGA Tour this year.

Axley punctuated the round by driving the par-four 16th hole with a 352-yard tee shot. The 32-year-old left-hander, who is looking for his first PGA Tour victory, was 16 under through 54 holes.

Tied for second are Ted Purdy, who shot a 64 Saturday, Frank Lickliter II (65) and 2004 Ryder Cup participant Chris Riley (64).
