Woman found dead near Point Fermin Park

The body of Megan Maynard, 19, of Long Beach was found shortly after 4 a.m. Friday near Point Fermin Park, authorities said.
The incident was being treated as an accident pending medical tests, according to Officer Martha Garcia, a police spokeswoman.
There was no indication that drugs or alcohol were involved, Garcia said.
The Point Fermin cliffs have a history of fatal falls, including that of USC football player Mario Danelo in January.
