Another way to cut drug costs
The outstanding article “Take Charge of Drug Costs” [March 19] left out one important method.
At least six medications are very inexpensive. For example, hydrochlorothiazide (a diuretic) can cost $13.33 for 100 25-milligram tablets, so why buy just 30 tablets at the time, one per day, on insurance if the co-payment is $10?
Ask your independent pharmacist for other ways to save money on prescriptions and over-the-counter health products.
