94-year-old woman dies in residential fire

A 94-year-old woman was killed in a house fire Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The blaze, which was reported just before 4 p.m. in the 200 block of Hicks Avenue, was extinguished in about 15 minutes, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The name of the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was not released. No other injuries were reported.
Fire officials said the cause of the blaze was unknown and remains under investigation.
