Car rolls, ejecting driver who is struck, killed
A Costa Mesa man died Saturday after being ejected from a sport utility vehicle and run over by another car, authorities said.
Guadalupe Gonzalez-Espinoza, 21, was declared dead at the scene, a spokesman for the Orange County coroner’s office said.
A California Highway Patrol dispatcher said that Gonzalez-Espinoza was speeding south on the Santa Ana Freeway near the 1st Street exit when the accident occurred about 3:30 a.m.
Gonzalez-Espinoza’s vehicle sideswiped another, then overturned several times, the CHP said.
He was ejected and run over by a third car.
