Youth is wounded in apparent gang shooting

Police are investigating the shooting of a 19-year-old man who was seriously wounded Sunday in what authorities suspect was a gang-related incident.
Several shots were fired at the victim about 9:20 a.m. during a confrontation with a group of young men in the 1900 block of South Main Street, police said.
The victim underwent surgery and was in critical condition.
Police released no further details.
