Mitchell Frank

As president of Spaceland Productions, Frank is the driving force behind Silver Lake’s thriving indie rock super scene. Aided by bookers Liz Garo and Jennifer Tefft, he has made Spaceland and Echo Park’s the Echo into the must-play venues for up-and-comers and an exclusive stomping ground for major acts such as Beck and Rilo Kiley.

Bryan Rabin

The former Olympic ice skater is a rising star in Hollywood red carpet event planning. After creating the successful weekly club Cherry, Rabin branched out with business partner David Rodgers to create Rabin Rodgers Inc., which has since produced memorable events for clients such as Gwen Stefani, Diane von Furstenberg and HBO.

Karen Glauber

During her 17 years with the bible of music industry trade magazines, Hits, Glauber has become an arbiter of popular culture, instrumental in identifying break-out bands such as the Arcade Fire, Spoon and Arctic Monkeys. The self-professed “fan” is rumored to know just about everyone in the industry.

Steve Adelman

The entrepreneur elevated night life when he and partner John Lyons transformed Hollywood’s the Palace into the superclub Avalon, the intimate Spider Club and the swank late-night bistro Honey. On tap is a Prohibition era-inspired nightclub and restaurant called 86 in the basement of Hollywood’s historic Hillview Building.

Mark Sovel (a.k.a. Mr. Shovel)

As one of two original employees of the maverick L.A. radio station Indie 103.1, Sovel breathed new life into L.A.’s music scene with his Sunday night local-music show Check One Two. His influence extends to an increasingly popular Check One Two night at the Viper Room.

Shepard Fairey

The celebrated guerrilla street artist gained cult status with his Andre the Giant “Has a Posse” and “Obey” iconography. No longer underground, Fairey runs his own skateboard-centric Obey clothing line, a graphic design company and a pop culture magazine called Swindle.
