‘Power of 10’ is up there, but not with power of No. 1

The first two episodes of the game show “Power of 10” brought summer highs in their time slots for CBS but didn’t draw enough viewers to top the established series running opposite them, according to figures released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research.

The premiere of the Drew Carey-hosted show drew 9.24 million viewers, putting it fourth among all prime-time programs broadcast from Aug. 6 through Sunday, and second in its Tuesday 8-9 p.m. time slot. Opposite it, NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” was seen by an average of 10.84 million viewers during its 90 minutes, making it prime time’s most-watched program for the seventh time in the last 10 weeks.

Viewership for a second episode of “Power of 10” on Wednesday dropped 16% to 7.77 million, putting it 17th for the week and second in its 8-9 p.m. time slot behind Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance.”

ABC premiered three series last week, with “Primetime: Crime” drawing the most viewers, 7.19 million, and finishing 23rd for the week. The premiere of “iCaught,” which followed, drew 6.2 million viewers. The series, featuring stories about Internet videos, won its time slot among viewers ages 18 to 49.

The premiere of the ABC unscripted series “Fat March” was 63rd for the week with 4.35 million viewers, putting it fifth in the 9-10 p.m. time slot last Monday, including trailing Univision’s Spanish-language telenovela “Destilando Amor.”

CBS was the most-watched network in prime time for the 10th time in the 11 weeks of television’s summer season.
