Killer of girl, 9, gets death sentence

A convicted sex offender was sentenced to death for kidnapping, raping and burying 9-year-old Jessica Lunsford alive in his yard.
John Evander Couey, 49, looked straight ahead as Circuit Judge Ric Howard told him he should be executed for the 2005 crimes. The Miami jury that convicted Couey had recommended the death penalty.
