Funds allocated to improve roads

Orange County transportation planners are closing a chapter on a spending measure that has led to more than $4 billion in road improvements over the last two decades.

The Orange County Transportation Authority on Monday agreed to spend the final $41 million tied to Measure M.

Although voters approved renewal of the sales tax measure in November, county leaders Monday treated the moment as a destination reached.
