5 ex-Guantanamo inmates convicted
From Times Wire Reports
A French court convicted five former inmates from the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, on terrorism-related charges but did not send any of them to prison.
The five were in a group captured in or near Afghanistan by U.S. forces in late 2001. All were held for at least two years at Guantanamo and then handed over to French authorities.
