Noxious fumes sicken mallgoers

Hundreds of people were evacuated from a Spokane mall after noxious fumes of unknown origin sickened people inside, fire officials said.
Authorities called the fumes a “possible chemical irritant,” but did not know what it was. At least 37 people sought treatment at hospitals, police said.
Hazardous materials crews were investigating.
