THE Golden Globes [“Class and Crass,” by John Horn and Gina Piccalo, Jan. 16] were the bomb! Bravo to best supporting actor winner Eddie Murphy -- long, long, overdue. And bravo to newcomer Jennifer Hudson, who shows Hollywood that, along with an amazing voice, curves and more curves are the recipe of the day!

Slowly but surely, Hollywood is coming around.

THE Golden Globes show, though quite entertaining overall, was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me in regard to the most ubiquitous of all adjectives in recent memory: “amazing.”

These celebrities seem to have it all: looks, talent, fame. Perhaps some of them could actually pick up a thesaurus once in a while.

WHILE there were classy speeches (Irons, Mirren, Ferrera, Hudson), Boratically hilarious (Cohen) and droll ones (Streep, Laurie), others were, like, borrrrring with their endless laundry lists of namesnamesnames. Spare us, darlings, we truly don’t care!
