* Baltimore 7, at Chicago 6: Kevin Millar singled in the go-ahead run in the ninth off White Sox closer Bobby Jenks as the Orioles came from four runs down in the final two innings.
* at Boston 7, Texas 3: Eric Hinske had a bases-loaded triple and Dustin Pedroia hit a two-run double as the Red Sox salvaged a split of the four-game series.
* at Cleveland 10, Tampa Bay 2: Fausto Carmona won his ninth game, outfielder Ben Francisco homered and drove in three runs and the Indians completed a four-game sweep.
* at Kansas City 3, Seattle 2 (11 innings): David DeJesus homered and scored the winning run on Emil Brown’s sacrifice fly, ending the Mariners’ eight-game winning streak.
* Toronto 11, at Oakland 7: Vernon Wells homered twice to help Josh Towers win consecutive decisions for the first time in nearly two years.
* at New York 5, Minnesota 1: Bobby Abreu hit a go-ahead homer and finished with three hits for the Yankees, who won for only the third time in 12 games.
