Sparks fall to Storm, 90-71

Lauren Jackson burned the Sparks again, scoring 11 of her 23 points in the third quarter to help the Seattle Storm pull away from Los Angeles, 90-71, on Tuesday night.

Jackson was seven for 15 from the field as Seattle won for the fourth time in five games.

Jackson matched her career high with 35 points on June 24 when the Storm beat the Sparks at Staples Center, 83-71.

Betty Lennox had 18 points Tuesday and Sue Bird had 10 points and 11 assists for the Storm (9-7).

Reserve Kiesha Brown led the Sparks (7-9) with 16 points. Leading scorers Marta Fernandez had only six points and Taj McWilliams-Franklin finished with four. Sherill Baker had 14.
