Man charged with capital murder
From Times Wire Reports
A man accused of abducting a teenager from a store parking lot and strangling her was charged in Olathe with capital murder, making him eligible for the death penalty.
Edwin R. Hall, 26, also was charged by Johnson County prosecutor Phill Kline with rape and aggravated sodomy -- counts that were necessary under state law for 18-year-old Kelsey Smith’s slaying to be considered a capital crime. Hall’s $5-million bond was revoked.
