Chocolate may have unlisted milk

All lots of limited edition Scharffen Berger Kumasi Sambirano 68% cacao dark chocolate bars, manufactured by Berkeley-based Artisan Confections Co., were recalled because they may contain milk that is not listed on the packaging.

This could be dangerous for people with milk allergies. Artisan Confections, a subsidiary of Hershey Co., has received one report of an allergic reaction. For more information, call (866) 608-6944.

* About 1 million battery packs used to power drills, saws, radios, flashlights, wrenches and Extractor windshield glass removers, manufactured by Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp., were recalled because damage to a vent while the pack is in use could cause the battery to explode.

The company has received 35 reports of incidents, including 11 injuries from battery packs exploding while in use. The recall includes 14.4- and 18-volt 2.4 Ah NiCd Milwaukee Power Plus, Chicago Pneumatic and Extractor battery packs manufactured from July 1999 to February 2004. * Nissan Motor Co. said it was recalling 140,582 of its 2007 Altimas, the automaker’s bestselling U.S. vehicle, because the air filter could catch fire if a hot object, such as cigarette ash, was drawn into it.

The recall affects Altima cars with a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. Four fires were reported in February and March, the company said. The filter will be replaced, Nissan said.
