Expose those porcine perks

Re “Policing pork,” editorial, July 12

Democrats may have talked a good fight to get elected, but once in, they proved themselves no better than the big, bad Republicans. The only way to eliminate pork is to have everything Congress wants to spend money on put out to the public before it is voted on. I’m sure if people knew where their money was being wasted, they’d be outraged. At least I hope they would. Americans could be so brain-dead with the entire process that many probably don’t care that their money is being wasted.

How about allowing Americans a say in where they want their money spent? I’m sure very few would say they want their money spent on pork. Allow Congress to spend anything left over on pork.
