Update -- Coming off the All-Star break, the Sparks are mired in a six-game losing streak, a franchise record, and the Silver Stars have won four in a row and eight of their last 10. San Antonio guard Becky Hammon is tied for third in the league in scoring (19.1 points a game), first in assists (5.3) and fourth in free-throw shooting (92.7%). But the Silver Stars will be without Erin Buescher, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in last Wednesday’s game against the Phoenix Mercury. Buescher is tied for the Silver Stars’ lead in rebounding. Sparks forward LaToya Thomas, who has been out because of a strained right calf, is listed as probable for tonight’s game, while guard Temeka Johnson, who had knee surgery in February, is listed as day to day.
