* at Houston 7, San Diego 1: Carlos Lee, Morgan Ensberg and Craig Biggio hit home runs, and Wandy Rodriguez gave up one run in seven innings to send the Astros to their fifth victory in seven games.

* at St. Louis 11, Chicago 1: Albert Pujols, hitless in 11 at-bats, hit a three-run homer and Chris Duncan hit a grand slam. Pujols drove in five runs, tying his season high set June 10 against the Angels.

* at Cincinnati 6, Milwaukee 5: Ken Griffey Jr. hit his 588th homer, and the Reds rallied against All-Star closer Francisco Cordero. Since they had an 8 1/2 -game lead on June 23, the Brewers have gone 13-15, letting the Cubs get into the race.

* Pittsburgh 8, at New York 4: Josh Phelps capped a five-run sixth inning with a two-run homer, then added a run-scoring double in the seventh to help the Pirates win for only the second time in 12 games since the All-Star break.

* at San Francisco 4, Atlanta 2: Dave Roberts hit a tying, two-run double in the fifth inning and scored the go-ahead run on Ray Durham’s single.

* at Arizona 7, Florida 4: Eric Byrnes hit a three-run homer with two out in the ninth inning to give the Diamondbacks a four-game sweep of the Marlins.

* Washington 7, at Philadelphia 6: Phillies starter Adam Eaton gave up four runs and eight hits in 6 1/3 innings.

* Dodgers 5, at Colorado 4: Takashi Saito pitched the ninth for his 26th save in 29 chances.
