Bad acting

Share

I read with great sadness Scott Collins’ Channel Island column about “batty actors” [“Got Into a Scrape? It’s All Good,” July 23].

For every Isaiah Washington, there are 100 actors who have honed their craft, learned diversity and would never demean another performer.

For every Mandy Patinkin, there are 100 actors working on union committees to create more jobs, better-paying jobs and better working conditions for all actors. Walking out on a contract is an insult to all who are struggling to make a living in this business.

For every Lindsay Lohan, there are 100 actors working crazy odd jobs while studying acting, learning professional skills and the required discipline for performing.

Must the squeaky wheel always gets the oil?
