U.N. team visits reactor being built
United Nations inspectors viewed an incomplete nuclear reactor that has been off-limits since April, Iranian state media said.
“The team visited the 40-megawatt research reactor in Arak,” the official Islamic Republic News Agency quoted an unnamed official as saying.
“The inspection took some 5 hours.”
The report did not provide additional details.
An official with the International Atomic Energy Agency, the U.N.’s nuclear watchdog agency, said inspectors had full access.
Arak would produce plutonium, which is key to building nuclear arms.
