The Hollywood Reporter, an entertainment industry trade magazine, on Monday named Elizabeth Guider of rival Variety as its editor.

Guider will oversee the print and online versions, as well as industry conferences, the publication’s owner, Nielsen Co., said in a statement Monday. Guider replaces Cynthia Littleton, who left for Variety in March.

Guider worked 18 years at Variety and held titles including managing editor and executive editor. Most recently she was editor at large. At the Hollywood Reporter, Guider will report to Publishing Director Eric Mika.

Nielsen, a closely held company based in Haarlem, the Netherlands, and New York, also owns the trade magazines Billboard and Ad Week.
