David Beckham set up two goals with crosses to lead England over Estonia, 3-0, Wednesday night in a European Championship qualifier.

In his first competitive match for England since last summer’s World Cup, Beckham fed Peter Crouch in the 54th minute and Michael Owen in the 62nd. Joe Cole had put England ahead in the 37th minute when he beat goalkeeper Mart Poom.

Beckham had a free kick in the fifth minute that just missed.

“It was clear in the first half that they were trying to find Beckham and he was coming in with great crosses,” Estonia Coach Jelle Goes said. “Two great deliveries -- that’s why he’s back in the team.”
