Yorba Linda man held in 13-year-old slaying

A Yorba Linda man was arrested Friday in the 13-year-old slaying of a property manager whose body was found stuffed in a car trunk. Douglas Wendell Mireles, 40, is being held on $1-million bail, Police Cpl. Jose Gonzalez said. He is accused of killing Philip George Cousins, whose body was discovered March 7, 1994, with gunshot wounds to the head and chest.
Mireles had been arrested in 1996 but released because of insufficient evidence.
