A day at the beach with the kids
Re: [“Psyche and the Sea,” May 28]: Beach, relaxing? Look around at the local beaches and you’ll see that most of us are there with our
Putting sun block on squirmy, sandy kids? Not calming. Taking the family to the public bathrooms every few minutes? No deep breathing there. Changing a diaper on sand? I wouldn’t call it therapeutic. Counting my three kids every 10 seconds to make sure I haven’t lost them? Definitely shortening my life span.
Of course, seeing them blissfully enjoy the purity of sand and water ... why, that’s priceless.
