Record vs. Rapids (2006) -- 2-0-2

Update -- Chivas will be without defender Jonathan Bornstein, who is with the U.S. national team during the Gold Cup, and the Rapids will play without veteran midfielders Kyle Beckerman and Pablo Mastroeni. Beckerman earned a one-match suspension for an accumulation of caution points, and Mastroeni is with the U.S. squad. Colorado striker Roberto Brown is back with the Rapids after injuring his right ankle during a Gold Cup training session with the Panamanian national team, but if he plays it is likely to be for limited action. Chivas would jump Colorado, with 15 points, and Houston, with 16 points, to second place in the Western Conference with a win. “If we don’t come away with three points ... I think we’re coming in here the next day thinking that’s a loss of points,” Chivas midfielder Sacha Kljestan said.
