Re “A small step on guns,” editorial, June 17

Your editorial really calls for another step on the rights of American citizens, and follows many similar steps since 1968. But recently in Parker vs. District of Columbia, the U.S. Court of Appeals ruled that the 2nd Amendment is an individual right of Americans and struck down the worst of Washington’s gun laws. I am looking forward to that case going to the Supreme Court with the same outcome.

The “loophole” that allows one American to sell a gun to another American is the U.S. Constitution, and I expect that will be affirmed.
