System upgrade could disrupt water service
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Some residents could experience a disruption in water service this weekend as workers upgrade the delivery system, officials said Friday.
Disruptions could occur particularly between the peak usage hours of 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., said Melinda Barrett, water conservation program manager for the Los Angeles County Waterworks Districts.
The upgrade is part of a long-term effort by the Antelope Valley East Kern Water Agency to help increase future water supplies, officials said.
