Top 10 gang suspect arrested in Ensenada
A second suspect on Los Angeles’ Top 10 most wanted list of gang members has been captured in Ensenada, police said Monday.
Steve Garcia, 37, was wanted in the Feb. 12, 2001, fatal shooting of Kenneth Landon, a suspected rival who Garcia believed treated him with disrespect.
Garcia’s capture is the most recent from the list established last month by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Police Chief William J. Bratton in an effort to crack down on gangs.
Angel Zevallos, who is accused of attempted murder, was detained in Guatemala and returned to the U.S. last week.
