Nine accused of terror conspiracy
From Times Wire Reports
Nine men downloaded bomb-making instructions from the Internet and stockpiled chemicals to make lethal explosives because they believed Islam was under attack, an Australian prosecutor said.
The suspects were indicted on one charge each of conspiring to carry out a terrorist act.
They were arrested in 2005 in Sydney. Muslim cleric Abdul Nacer Benbrika and eight others were also detained in Melbourne then; they face separate charges of belonging to a terrorist group.
