Northrop Grumman Corp. won an order valued at $287 million for unmanned Global Hawk spy planes.

The contract is for five aircraft, a control system, a launcher, four sets of sensors and related support equipment, Century City-based Northrop said in a statement.

The Global Hawk’s fuselage is manufactured in Moss Point, Miss., then shipped to Palmdale, where the wings are added and assembly is completed.
