Look what cat bite drags in: $122,000
From Times Wire Reports
A jury awarded a man $122,400 for a nasty bite on the hand from his sister’s Siamese cat after it leaped into his lap.
Michael Sabo’s fingers looked like “plump hot dogs” after the cat bit his right hand in March 2004, his lawyer said, and an infection put Sabo in a hospital for three weeks. He had to pay thousands in medical bills.
Sabo sued his sister after he failed to get her homeowners insurance to cover the cost of his treatment, the lawyer said.
