Rifle range renamed for Vietnam War sniper

In a ceremony Thursday, a rifle range at Miramar Marine Corps Air Station was renamed for Vietnam War sniper Gunnery Sgt. Carlos N. Hathcock.
Hathcock, credited with 93 kills of Viet Cong soldiers and North Vietnamese army regulars, founded the Marine scout-sniper school in Quantico, Va. He died in 1999 at age 57.
