Alec Baldwin’s attorney said Friday she was determined to find out how his now-infamous cellphone message to his young daughter was leaked to the media.

“The whole story has not gotten out accurately,” lawyer Vicki Greene said during a break in a closed-door court hearing Friday in the custody battle between Baldwin and his former wife, Oscar winner Kim Basinger, over their 11-year-old daughter, Ireland.

Greene said she thought someone in Basinger’s “camp” leaked the tape to TMZ.com, sparking a media frenzy portraying Baldwin as a hotheaded and verbally abusive father.

“I didn’t have access to the tape. Alec didn’t have access to the tape. It had to come from someone in their camp,” said Greene, who has asked the Los Angeles County commissioner overseeing the custody case to investigate how the message was made public.

Basinger has publicly denied leaking the voicemail.

Earlier in the day, Commissioner Maren E. Nelson ordered the media out of her courtroom for a closed-door hearing, citing a need to shield the young girl at the center of the dispute from the “emotionally traumatic” issues at hand.

The scope of Friday’s hearing was not made public, but Nelson said the goal was to determine “how best for [Ireland] to have a healthy relationship with both parents.”

Baldwin, who stars in NBC’s “30 Rock,” did not appear Friday. Basinger arrived wearing oversized sunglasses and a thigh-length gray patterned overcoat -- and was flanked by two bodyguards and her publicist.

Afterward, Basinger’s attorney, Neal Hersh, said he was pleased with the outcome.

The next hearing on the matter is scheduled for June 5.
