In keeping with Karl Dorrell’s postgame comment theme, I thought I’d offer some new insights he can use after his team posts its next embarrassing loss.

“We just need to find a way to score more points than our opponent.”

“We’re in pretty good shape overall. We just need to get better offensively and defensively and on special teams.”

“We’re coaching and practicing hard and we’re capable of playing well. Just not this week.”

“We’re still learning how to win. It just takes longer than learning how to lose.”

Coach Dorrell, take that $2-million buyout and run. Trust the taxpayers. It’s a great deal. You can confirm that it is by consulting Lavin. You were both given dream jobs with no experience, failed to achieve beyond inconsistent mediocrity, and made millions in the process. Your on-the-job training has cost the university a bundle. Good luck.
