War wake-up call

Re “Are we safer?” Opinion, Nov. 18
David Cole and Jules Lobel’s article evaluating the war on terror puts the whole mess in easy-to-grasp terms and should be a wake-up call to those still on the war bandwagon. The quagmire in Iraq has spilled over into neighboring countries; the cost in human life and dollars is excessive; it continues to expose corruption at high levels; it has diverted us from addressing national problems of healthcare, immigration and the economy; and it has degraded America’s standing in the world community.
