Fernando Fernan Gomez, an actor, director and writer who was one of Spain’s most beloved entertainers, died Wednesday at a Madrid hospital, Spanish National Radio and other media said. Fernan Gomez, who played the father in the 1994 Academy Award-winning foreign film “Belle Epoque,” was 86 and reportedly suffered from cancer.
