4 are injured in factory blast in Northridge
An explosion at a Northridge cosmetics factory injured four people, authorities said Monday.
Firefighters responded to a report of an explosion in the 9000 block of Oso Avenue about 12:30 p.m., said Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
When they arrived, they found smoke escaping from the building’s windows but no structural damage. Four people complained of injuries, but none had been taken to a hospital, Humphrey said.
It is unclear what caused the explosion.
Evacuations were not ordered and firefighters were still investigating Monday afternoon, Humphrey said.
